President-elect Donald Trump is reported to have picked Senator Jeff Sessions, a dogged opponent of H-1B visas used by US companies to hire highly skilled foreigners, a lot of them from India, as his attorney general, the nation’s top prosecutor.
Retired general Michael Flynn, a man known for incendiary anti-Muslim comments, will be Trump’s National Security Adviser and Congressman Michael Pompeo, who has accused Muslims of not doing enough to counter terror, the new CIA director.

There was no word yet about secretary of state, for which South Carolina’s Indian American governor Nikki Haley is understood to be in consideration, along with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton.
There was also no reports about the other powerful positions such as secretary of defense, for which Sessions and Flynn were reportedly being considered. Former Senator Kelly Ayotte was also among those being speculated about.
Trump has officially named only two positions so far – Reince Priebus as his chief of staff and Stephen Bannon as chief strategist. All others were leaks from his transition team, which didn’t deny or counter them.
